This Week in the Northfield Blogosphere - What Would Jesse James Do?

It another week in Northfield, here in the early parts of April. The sun is shining, grass is growing, kids are outside plaSorry, I thought I could cut and paste from last year. The weather has varied from lousy to horrible this week, with rain, freezing rain, slush, and snow falling from the sky. Someone told me that they saw the sun earlier this week, but I'm not sure I believe them. We may go straight from winter to June's summer this year, I think.

Enough with this moaning and groaning, on with TWINB!...

Tim Freeland is working on some "What Would Jesse James Do?" t-shirt designs and wants your input...

I promise, this is not meant to be sac-religious at all. I came up with the cleaver idea last DJJD and thought I would mass produce a tee-shirt for the 2008 event. The problem is that I don't know which version to print. Please comment below and let me know which you like best or provide your own idea.

Have you lost a watch? Chris Tassava found it...

Running in the Carleton Arb last night, I found a rather nice men's watch - Skagen brand. If it's yours, look me up in the Northfield phone book and call to describe it.

The Northfield Construction Company installed some appliances earlier this week and they're awesome. I know, I know, you think I'm nuts, but check it out...

This week we installed appliances in the residential remodeling we are wrapping up. This homeowner selected some very nice appliance units. Appliances are always a bit tricky to install but these all seemed to fit well in the prepared spaces.

(They also have some pictures from the Home and Garden show last weekend.)

The First UCC is considering podcasting their sermons...

We’ve been talking about podcasting (voice only) my sermons on our website, and I think that’s a good idea. But I will confess to some worry about people who will misuse my words and misrepresent my theology based on "sound bites" taken out of context.

The Latino Enterprise Center has a great set of photos of their work on constructing an enclosure for their direct market chickens...

The first order will arrive on April 18th to be grown for the first delivery on June 13, then birds will arrive every two weeks.

In recent weeks, much work has been done, here is a quick photo update.

David Bly had an unexpected visitor drop by at the State Office Building...

I was surprised to find a visitor just outside my office when I arrived this morning. It was in part a surprise because my office is on the fifth floor of the State Office Building.

That's it for this week. If you are a local resident have a blog that you'd like aggregated on Northfield.org, please drop us a line and let us know!
