Over 65 fine artists are represented in the Riverfront Fine Arts Festival, an annual juried event of the Northfield Arts Guild since the 1970s. Held during the Defeat of Jesse James Days Celebration, the Riverfront Fine Arts Festival invites patrons to stroll the Cannon River Walkway in historic downtown Northfield.  Start your walk just behind the Northfield Arts Guild - 304 Division Street South, to discover works by wonderful artists from our community and region.  The Riverfront Fine Arts Festival runs 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on both Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9. This festival is free to attend, and is a rain or shine event!

New this year – a chance to win free art and chain saw sculpture demonstrations!

Win Free Art!All weekend visitors ages 18+, may enter their name in our drawing for a chance to win one of four $50 gift certificates for art. Drawings will be held on Sunday, September 9 at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.  Must be present to win. Each gift certificate is good towards any art made by festival artists, to be used on Sunday, September 9.

Demonstrations:At Noon and 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9 come see art in process when Curtis Ingvoldstad, of Big Woods Sculpture, demonstrates his chain saw sculpting! Look for his demonstration area on the Cannon River, near the Second Street Bridge.
