First steel, then glass!

The renovation of our public library continues in spite of cold and snow.  The steel framing for the new entrance and atrium has been anchored into the existing building.  Once the framing is complete, watch for the glazing that will let in the sunshine, keep out the cold and enable you to see through to the original building. Steel-and-glass is the architects' way of leaning lightly on our historic Carnegie library while gaining much-needed space.
