World's Largest Swim Lesson

Come and join Community Services for the third annual World's Largest Swim Lesson, Thursday, June 18th as we try and help to break a World Record for the largest world wide lesson held over a 24 hour period of time! 
 
If you'd like to take part in the swimming lesson, please plan on showing up at Old Memorial Pool between 9:30 - 9:45 am (801 Seventh St. E.) and sign in at the registration table.  There is no pre-registration and the event is FREE.  The event is for all ages and abilities.  Wear a swimming suit!  In case of inclement weather, please call the Community Services weather line at 664-3659 for cancellation information.  In case of inclement weather, there is no make-up date for this event. 
 
All participants must be signed in at 9:50 am in order to be counted for the record attempt.  The lesson will be held from 10 am - 10:30 am and will consist of very basic water safety maneuvers and progression to learning of more difficult strokes.
