Thanks to support from the Rotary Club of Northfield, the Northfield Arts Guild will host three “Family Fun Days” throughout the summer: Saturday, June 27 from 10 am-12 pm; Thursday, July 23 from 9 am-11 am; and Saturday, August 22 from 10 am 12 pm. The Family Fun Days are free and open to the public to come to the Arts Guild, explore the spaces, meet the NAG staff, and participate in different art-making projects and mini-classes! A focal point of the Family Fun Days will be a “KidsArt Trading Post.” The KidsArt Trading Post is a venue for kids to bring artwork that they have made at home or school and trade it for another piece of artwork made by a kid! A key purpose of the KidsArt trading post is to encourage conversation about art between and among youth and adults. The June 27th event will feature a visit from Booker, the Northfield Public Library’s bookmobile!A more detailed schedule of the Family Fun Days will be posted within a week of each event on the Guild website: northfieldartsguild.org.
