Defeat of Jesse James General Chair Hayes Scriven reports that members of the DJJD Committee presented Northfield Hospital’s Breast Care Center with a $2,200 check on Thursday, October 24. The money was the result of fundraising efforts throughout the year with the Tough Enough To Wear Pink program. Tough Enough To Wear Pink is a national rodeo program created to involve the rodeo community in the fight against breast cancer. Fundraising concluded at the three rodeos held over Defeat weekend with the passing of pink donation barrels throughout the rodeo stands.

According to the staff at the Breast Care Center, the money will be used to put together pink care bags for those newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Each bag contains a book, a journal, comfy socks, and a variety of other items that patients might need in their journey. The Committee is proud to support the efforts of the Breast Care Center through the generosity of the citizens of Northfield.
