Patsy Dew, Assistant Director of the Northfield Senior Center, announces the new Sunday Afternoon Concert Series at the Center.  On Sunday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m., pianist Bob Kahn will perform.  According to Dew, Sunday’s program will include works by Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Grieg and Liszt, and will conclude with music about water, “a nod to Minnesota with its 10,000 lakes, the Mississippi River, and all of our snow and ice.”

Kahn began his career as church organist at age 16. He was choral director at the Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, taught piano and served many churches as organist. Now retired, his love of music continues.  Most recently, he has taught courses through the Cannon Valley Elder Collegium.

The Senior Center is located at 1651 Jefferson Parkway. The cost is $5.00.
