The Northfield Arts Guild Theater proudly presents  two one-act plays, Yiddish Cowboys and Cabin 12, in An Evening of One-Act Plays.  An exciting world premiere, Larry Greenstein’s Yiddish Cowboys takes place in Poland in 1939, where townspeople of Villeker are excited to have a real Hollywood western filmed in their village. Cabin 12, written by John Bishop, is a powerful story of a father and son who must find a way to communicate in their time of grief and transform their pain into love.

The comedy Yiddish Cowboys, which will be performed first in the evening and is family-friendly, is being directed by Susan Carlson and features Brenda Kragseth, Joseph Reiland, Annie Zimbel, Jessica Bistodeau and Piper Mohring.  Yiddish Cowboys was written by Minneapolis playwright Larry Greenstein and will be featured in March at the Minnesota Association of Community Theatres MACT Fest, held in Brooklyn Park.  The gritty drama Cabin 12, directed by Fred Stanly, features the acting talents of  Bryan Reed, Collin Pote and Esme Etter.  Cabin 12 will be the second act of the evening.

Performances will take place at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater, 411 W 3rd St, on February 8, 9, 15, and 16 at  7:30pm at February 10 and 17 at 2pm. Special ticket pricing is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors to see both plays and $8 flat rate for all tickets to see one show only.  Check the Arts Guild website for more information:  www.northfieldartsguild.org
