The Northfield Arts Guild is proud to bring you Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park, a newly adapted play by Tim Luscombe.  This Guild Theater production will play on the Northfield High School stage, 1400 Division Street S, Northfield on June 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29.  All performances begin at 7pm.

At just ten years old, Fanny Price is sent from her poor Portsmouth home to live with the family of her wealthy uncle in the vast grandeur of Mansfield Park. Fanny soon learns, however, that beneath the glitter of wealth and status, people aren’t always what they seem.

With familiar Austen themes of unanswered love and social aptness Mansfield Park is an intriguing, passionate and sophisticated story about finding one’s voice.  This show is appropriate for the entire family.

Directed by Rachel Haider, who was named the Southern Minn Scene’s Best Director for 2018, Mansfield Parkfeatures a cast ranging in age from just 9 to 72.  The cast includes Madeline Bauer as Fanny, Samuel Temple asEdmund, Kevin Dahle as Sir Thomas Bertram, and Pauline Jennings asMrs. Norris; other cast members include Ben Pelagano, Brynn Artley, Noah Schomburg, Alison Haider, Logan Ledman, Charlie Black, Linda Temple, Rebeka Mihalik, Josie Hauck, Kosmo Esplan, Joey Benson and Haley Moore.

Mansfield Park Reading Group & Content Bookstore Promotion:  In anticipation of our Mansfield Park theater production, the Northfield Public Library and St. Olaf College volunteers are hosting a community reading group for the novel. Participants are invited to attend the production with group rate tickets on June 27, followed by a post-show discussion. The reading group meets June 6 and 13 at the library. Sign up at the Library to join the reading group. Additionally,Content Bookstore is offering copies of the book at a 10% discount.
