Foot in Foot in the Door is a community exhibition featuring works by over 100 local and regional artists of all ages with the only requirement being that all works be no larger than 12 x 12 x 12 inches.  For many artists, this is their first professional, public exhibition. The exhibition is on view from January 10 through February 17 in the Main Gallery of the Northfield Arts Guild, 304 Division Street South.  Learn more about the work and meet the artists at the Family Open House on Saturday, February 17 from 10:00am to 12:00 noon to celebrate the exhibition.

Fiber Anew premiers a series of felted and embroidered works by the Northfield-based artist Jean Manrique.   The exhibition is on view from January 10 – February 17, 2018 in the Up Gallery at the Northfield Arts Guild, 304 Division Street South.

“Nature inspires my work,” says Manrique. “As well as using nature as a frequent image in my work, I also use natural fibers, such as wool, silk and cotton, plant based dyes, organic indigo, and local leaves and blossoms.   I’m also challenging myself to use my sewing scraps, dye samples and shibori practice pieces in creative and artful ways.”

The Northfield Arts Guild is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 12 to 6pm and on Saturdays from 11am-3pm.

The 2017-18 Gallery Season is sponsored by First National Bank. Foot in the Door is sponsored by Cannon Pointe Chiropractic.
