The Northfield Arts Guild 411 Concert Series presents the sibling vocal blend of The Cactus Blossoms at 7:30pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Armory Square, 519 Division Street, Northfield.

Minneapolis-based brothers Page Burkum and Jack Torrey have been creating music as The Cactus Blossoms for a decade, having released several albums and toured with Kacey Musgraves and Lucius. The release of their newest album, Easy Way, cemented the pair as a modern-day duo similar to the Everly Brothers and NPR’s All Things Considered describes Easy Way as offering “creative turns of phrase, gorgeous harmonies, and an ageless sound.”

Rolling Stone called the album “a set of songs steeped in Sixties rock and a more textural take on their signature harmonies, shaped around infectious grooves… mulling love, joy, and the need to connect.”

The 411 Concert Series, now in its 8th season, features regional and nationally-recognized artists.  Opening this concert is local musician Jon Manners, a staple of the Northfield music scene for decades. His style has evolved since he wrote his first song in the late 1950s to include elements of folk, jazz, soul, rock and R&B in his clever and poetic lyrics.

Tickets for this one-night-only concert are $25.00 and are available online at northfieldartsguild.org, by calling 507-645-8877 or at the Northfield Arts Guild, 304 Division Street South, Northfield. This concert is on its way to selling out, so don’t miss your chance to see The Cactus Blossoms here in Northfield!

The 411 Concert Series is sponsored by River Valley Eye Professionals and Vision.  This concert is sponsored by Schmidt Homes. Armory Square is the venue sponsor, lodging is sponsored by The Archer House and media support is provided by KYMN, 95.1 The One.
