Join Carleton's resident astronomers to view the moon, stars, planets, and nebulas Friday September 1 from 9 - 11 PM.  The event will be cancelled  if cloudy.    If it is cloudy or partly cloudy, a final decision regarding the open house will be posted at the observatory  website, http://go.carleton.edu/observatory by one hour before the start time.

The Northfield Prairie Partners Chapter of Wild Ones will have a free program on September 14 at 7:00 pm that will be held at Emmaus Baptist Church, 712 Linden Street N.  It is titled Mystic Search for the Ivory-billed Woodpecker with Jim Fitzpatrick, who participated in the Cornell University sponsored searches in Arkansas for the elusive woodpecker. Fitzgerald is also the emeritus Executive Director of the Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center. For more information about the program, call Arlene Kjar, 507-645-8903.

Come learn about the fun and adventures of being in Cub Scouts (for boys in grades K-5 and their families).  Information tables will be open at local elementary schools between 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 19th, 2017.

New scouts will receive a free frisbee.  They also receive a free glow-in-the-dark T-shirt at their first Pack meeting.

Our fall campout takes place the weekend of Oct. 6 - 8 at nearby Camp Phillipo.
