Hot Reads for Cold Nights returns to the Northfield Public Library this winter.  During the cold, snowy months of January and February, curl up and read some books and win prizes at the library!  Join the library Hot Reads program starting Monday, January 7,  and read for prizes until Friday, March 1.

Stephen W. Pacala, Director of the Princeton Environmental Institute and the Frederick D. Petrie Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University, will present Carleton College’s 27th Annual Frank G. & Jean M. Chesley Lecture on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. in Olin Hall Room 149. Entitled “Global Warming and the Fate of the Land Carbon Sink,” Pacala’s presentation is free and open to the public.
