There isn’t a dad around who doesn’t think of his daughter as his little sweetheart. And now there’s a fun way for fathers to celebrate that special relationship.

The Northfield Area Family YMCA is hosting the Second Annual Daddy Daughter Dance, from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, February 7, at St. Dominics School. The evening will include dancing, dance lessons, refreshments, pictures of each couple, and lots of quality time with your daughter dressed like a princess! Admission is $20 per couple, with a $5 charge for each additional child, for Y members. Non-members pay $26 per couple and $8 for each additional child. Register online at www.northfieldymca.org, email Lyn@northfieldymca.org or call 507-645-0088 9-1:00 Monday – Friday and we’ll get your signed up over the phone.
This event is patterned after a dance that has been a huge success for 18 years in Wausau, Wis., where the YMCA draws more than 1,000 dads and daughters for an evening of dancing and fun each February.
This event is Prom for girls ages 3 – 12 years old!
Grandfathers, uncles, stepfathers, big brothers and others also are invited to be escorts.
Dress: Dads encouraged to wear shirt/tie, sport court or suit.
