WINGS to Honor 2015 Grant Recipients

Women in Northfield Giving Support (WINGS) will honor 27 area organizations that serve women and children at its annual grant celebration on Tuesday, June 16 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Weitz Center Commons, Weitz Center for Creativity,  Carleton College. The groups are recipients of $73,868 in grants to provide programming in four areas: basic needs, education, mental and physical health and entrepreneurship. 

The event is open to the public. There is a $10 per person suggested donation and it includes a light supper and a chance to hear about the work of the grant recipients.  Registration is required and can be done at the WINGS website:  http://www.wings-mn.org/2015-wings-grant-celebration.  Please register by June 5.  

An organization of nearly 300 women, WINGS educates and expands the number of women in philanthropy in Northfield, builds and strengthens community through pooled investments, and improves the lives of women and children in the area through focused giving.  Since its founding in 2000, WINGS has granted nearly $700,000 to local organizations.
