SOPUDEP is a grassroots organization which established an accredited K-12 school which serves children whose families cannot afford either public or other private schools.  It was founded in 2002 and now serves more than 664 students K-12, and adults in the literacy campaign, providing a program meeting the Haitian Ministry of Education’s guidelines. In addition, there is a food program, which for some children is their only meal of the day. Ms Dol, is founder and director of the school.
