The ABCs of the Affordable Care Act

Interested in learning about the options available to you under the Affordable Care Act (ACA)?  Want more information about the Health Insurance Marketplace?  The League of Women Voters of Northfield and Cannon Falls is pleased to announce a public forum addressing the ACA on Tuesday, September 17th at 7 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield.

As part of its mission to educate citizens on important topics of the day, the League has engaged the following panelists:

  • Anna Odegaard of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
  • Christina Wessel of the Minnesota Budget Project
  • Charlie Mandile of HealthFinders of Northfield and Faribault

The League’s intent is to provide critical information to citizens that will enable them to make informed decisions regarding their health care.  With open enrollment starting on October 1, 2013, and coverage beginning on January 1, 2014, the League is pleased to be able to present important information to the community in advance of these deadlines. The panelists will address the ACA from local, state, and national perspectives. There will be time for Q & A following the panelists’ remarks.
