“9/11: A Fifteen Year Anniversary Commemoration” - Art at City Hall Reception

This year, our nation recognizes the fifteenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. Northfield acknowledges the events of that period with an art exhibit presented by Northfield's Arts and Culture Commission on display in City Hall “9/11: A Fifteen Year Anniversary Commemoration."  In this exhibit, Northfield artists Wendell Arneson, Marybeth Coyle, Toni Easterson, Jill Ewald, Shawnee Langworthy, Sharol Nau, Riki Kölbl Nelson, Don Roos, John Saurer and Mar Valdencantos present their look at the tragedy and the rebuilding of the country. The works in this powerful exhibit include paintings, drawings, photographs, prints, collages, textiles, and combinations of these materials.

Also on view on the second floor in City Hall is art by students in the Northfield schools.

The public is invited to see the exhibits and meet the artists at an informal gathering on Friday, September 30th at City Hall from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
