See the Sesquicentennial Governors Ball Photo Album for 150 photos of last night's festivities.

1. All the photos in the album are available in three sizes: thumbnail, medium (usually 640 pixels-wide), and full-sized, high-resolution original. Click the mediums to see the originals. Right click on any photo and select "save picture/image as..." to download it/save it to your PC.

2. If you have photos of the event to share with the Northfield community, contact us. We'd especially like photos of the arrival of the honored guests in horse-drawn carriages.

3. We're going to experiment with allowing anyone to edit the text of the photo descriptions in the album. If you know the names of the people in any of the photos, please edit the text. If you have a clever caption, add it. Please don't remove the comments/text of others.

Jingle Bell Run/Walk photo album

This morning's Jingle Bell Run/Walk drew 200 participants in zero degree weather.

The Jingle Bell Run is a charity event, with all registration fees this year going to the Jeff Amerman Pavilion at Spring Creek Park. The event is sponsored by Carlson Capital Management and the MN Center for Philanthropy. Seven inches of new snow

This week's 7-inch snowfall has helped to dress up downtown for the holidays. I took these photos of the Northfield Public Library and the Archer House earlier this evening. The DNR map (click to enlarge) that I got from their current conditions site shows Rice County among the southern counties with the most snow.

Turkey Trot photo album

This morning, over 200 runners and walkers participated in Northfield Rotary's 5K Turkey Trot at the Northfield Golf Club. Over $3,000 was raised to benefit the Jeff Amerman Pavilion at the Spring Creek Fields.
