Knights put a wrap on 2018-19 at Saint John’s Invite

The Carleton College men’s golf team closed the curtain on the 2018-19 season as the Knights finished 14th at the Saint John’s Spring Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole tournament featured 18 holes at Territory Golf Club on Saturday followed by back-to-back rounds at Monticello Country Club on Sunday.

Knights and Cougars tussle three times on Sunday

The Carleton College baseball team added a pair of wins to its season total after playing two full games and completing another during a busy afternoon of action against University of Minnesota-Morris. The day began with the completion of the second game from the March 31 doubleheader, a contest that was halted with the score knotted 5-5 after seven innings. The Knights began extra innings by scoring three times in the top of the eighth and prevailed, 8-5. Carleton (11-18) then won the opener of Sunday’s scheduled twinbill, 6-5 in eight innings, before the Cougars (7-20) captured the nightcap by a 10-6 tally.

Knights sweep Saint John’s to secure second seed

Lewis White rallied from a set down to win his singles match and secure a sweep for the Carleton College men’s tennis team in the regular-season finale against Saint John’s University. With this result, the Knights clinched the second seed in the upcoming conference tournament.

No. 38 Knights fall to No. 16 Gustavus, 7-2

The No. 38-ranked Carleton College men’s tennis team entered the day as one of only two teams still undefeated in MIAC action this season. The other was No. 16 Gustavus Adolphus College. These two teams squared off on Saturday, and the Gusties prevailed, 7-2, to clinch at least a share of their 31st consecutive MIAC regular-season title.
