Teen H.E.A.T. (Healthy Eating Active Teens) Program
A different theme each week - aquatic, fitness, sport, or nutrition. This program is aimed at keeping teens active and giving them some knowledge about healthy eating as well. Come one, two, or the whole summer! This program will help teens create a healthy lifestyle through eating healthy and physical activity. Each week there will be something new to learn from nutrition to pool activities. Each week will be a different activity so it will always be something new to try.

The Y is hosting a sale site during the city-wide Goods for Good garage sale weekend. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Y Scholarship Fund. Come shop the sale for good deals and a great cause.

Dive into summer by joining the Summer Adult Co-Rec Sand Volleyball League. Games will be played on Thursday evenings, June - August, on the Carleton College Sand Volleyball Court. Teams of 4 - 6 players are required (not more men than women). Interested teams should fill out the attached registration form and return with payment to the Community Services office (1651 Jefferson Parkway) by May 12. Individual players not yet on a team may contact Melissa at 507-664-3502 or MBernhard@northfieldschools.org to be added to a player pick-up list.

Northfield Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Salutes Military Kids
The Northfield Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Network proudly joins the military and Veteran communities in celebrating April as the Month of the Military Child. From deployments to new schools, military children face unique challenges most youth their age never experience. Their ability to adapt must be applauded, their courage must be recognized and their hard work must be celebrated.
It is estimated that aver 15,000 children in Minnesota have been affected by a parent’s deployment and that number continues to grow. We are encouraging our community to join together and honor our military youth for their sacrifices, for their courage, and for the important contribution they make to the strength of the military family.

Come and join Carleton College's Head Softball Coach Amy Erickson and The Knights Softball Team for a FREE 2-hour fastpitch softball clinic on Sunday, March 6th, from Noon-2:00 pm. at the Carleton Rec Center Field House, off Highway 19.
This is a GREAT opportunity to learn from college coaches and athletes! Improve and Sharpen your softball skills, just in time for the beginning of the fastpitch softball season!

A reminder to all that there will be E-cycling on Saturday, March 5, at the First UCC Church parking lot (300 Union Street) from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Drop off your old electronics, appliances, and any other items containing metal. Everything is free except for old-fashioned CRT-based televisions and monitors, for which there is a $5 to $20 fee, depending on sixe.

Eating well has its rewards. Fueling your body properly helps you feel better, improve performance and productivity, resist chronic disease, boost energy, build immunity, age well and control your weight. Northfield Area Family YMCA now offers Personal Nutrition Training with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. The RDN works with people individually to develop food-related strategies that help them achieve their wellness goals and live healthier lives. The training sessions are held at the Y and are available to members and non-members.
