Wendy Marie Raadt was born January 21, 1950 at the Northfield City Hospital to Norman and Harriet (Bunday) Gregerson. She grew up in Dennison, MN and attended the Dennison one-room school house until fifth grade. She then transferred to the Northfield schools graduating in 1968. She completed Glamour Beauty School in Minneapolis and began working as a beautician in Burnsville in 1969.

On March 20, 1971 Wendy married John M. Raadt and moved to Jacksonville, FL until John completed his naval enlistment in 1972. They then moved to Bloomington and Wendy returned to work as a stylish beautician. Following recuperation from a car accident in September of 1978 Wendy began work at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 1981. She took early retirement for BCBS in 2003 and after several temporary positions she began work at Alliant Technology Corporation (ATK) in 2007.

Wendy’s greatest moment came on March 25, 1987 when daughter Amanda Marie was born at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Wendy centered her life with Amanda and dedicated herself to being the best mother possible. She was a true-blue Vikings fan and centered her autumn activities around their games. Wendy loved going to their cabin in northern Minnesota where she could sit on the deck or pontoon, read a book and “catch some rays”. She was also a dedicated gardener with a wide variety of flowers.

Wendy is survived by her husband John of Savage; daughter Amanda Raadt of Savage; her mother Harriet Gregerson of Northfield; brother Bryce (Judy) Gregerson of Two Harbors; sister Nancy (Jack) Volkert of Dennison, and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father Norman.
