Thoughts
My thoughts and best wishes go to Alex's family at this time. I only had the pleasure of meeting him twice on a trip to MN and he made it memorable with his kindness and humor. I am sure he will be very missed.
Great Loss
I think I can speak for those who knew Alex from Grumpy's , he will be greatly missed and we feel that he was taken from this place much too soon. Watch over us Alex. Our hearts go out to his Family at this time of great loss.
*hugs*
Still overwhelmed and saddened by this. He was a brother to myself and Patrick. No one in Minneapolis had a bigger heart.
When I met Alex
CasiAnna took me to Grumpy's in Roseville last August for my birthday. It was there that I finally got to meet Alex after hearing so much about him. He was genuinely kind and made me feel right at home. We had a good time and Alex had a never-ending smile on his face as he served us. At the end of the night he wouldn't take any money, not even as a tip. I got the feeling that even if it hadn't been my birthday he still would have taken care of us. I have come to learn that Alex was that kind of guy – friendly as can be and very giving. I'm glad that I got the opportunity to meet him. To his family and loved ones – I am deeply sorry for your loss.
MY BIG BROTHER...
To all who have met Alex in the past, know he'd give you the shirt off his back. I was 14 years old in Northfield and a friend asked me if i wanted to start a band, and of course me being a drummer from the age of 3 till then, my drumset was not going to cut it, my friend jenny introduced me to alex, he was 23 years old. We sat down at blue monday (a coffee shop) over coffee we discussed who would make a good addition to our band atrocity 21 and we met at my school four days later, Alex took me to guitar center and through 800 dollars at me for a new pearl export, i paid him back of course in about 2 weeks. he was my big brother when i needed one, he and i were inseperable for about 6 years and 4 bands later we finally parted ways, but to all who new alex he was one of the most kind gentle spirits i ever met in this life.... my love goes to his familly and with him, hope to see you some day big guy and i will truly miss you...
