There’s no better time than now to support the area in which you live! The Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce together with the Northfield Downtown Development Corporation (NDDC) are kicking-off a community-wide awareness campaign effective immediately to promote “buying local” in the Northfield area.
It’s an invitation for all businesses, large and small, to get involved. Our hope is that we will communicate to our audience (the locals) how excited we are that they continue to actively support our area. We want to encourage the community to think of all the ways they can “BE” local with the goal of increasing business at home and gaining a stronger economic situation overall in Northfield and the surrounding area.
A webpage on the Chamber’s Web site has been created for the specific purpose of having a central go-to spot regarding this initiative. Visit www.northfieldchamber.com and click on the Be Local ... Buy Local icon to learn about the new campaign. The public can take steps today to make an impact. We also encourage businesses to access the Be Local … Buy Local logo and other marketing materials available on the webpage under “Toolbox for Businesses” for ongoing marketing pieces and for use on their web sites.
Media coverage is key to making this campaign a success. The Chamber and the NDDC will work closely with the Northfield area media to plan communications thus forward.
