Visiting Artist: Art (bronze pattern) In The Making

In keeping with our Arts Town spirit, Butler's Steak & Ale's own Norman and Julie have arranged for a unique 'art-in-the-making' event this weekend.  Here is the story in the artist's own words:

"My name is Jonathan Johnson, I am a professional artist from Montana visiting Northfield for the week. I have been creating classical sculpture for over 17 years studying the work of the foremost master artists of the world. I create limited edition original bronze sculptures as well as one of a kind earthenware ceramic sculpture.  My art is based partly on many years working and creating sculpture using the lost wax process which dates as far back as 4,000 B.C.

"Norman Butler invited me to Butler's Steak & Ale for the evenings of Friday and Saturday (Nov 20-21) where I will be creating an original bronze sculpture. So bring friends and family for some of the best dining  and atmosphere in town. I look forward to seeing you there and I would be glad to meet anyone interested in this original and personal experience. "

Jonathan will be at Butler's from 6-9 pm both nites.  Come by for the great food, classic cocktails, music, and a fine art experience." Butler's Steak & Ale is at 620 Water Street S. in Northfield; phone 507 786-9797.
