Dolores Mae White was born July 11, 1933, in Iron River, Michigan, to George and Lillian (Farrar) Armstrong. At the age of 8 moved with her family to Dundas where she was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church. She attended school in Dundas and Northfield and after her education worked at the Northfield Bakery. She married Donald H. White on November 19, 1950, at the parsonage of the Dundas United Methodist Church. After marriage they have always made their home in the Northfield area.

Dolores was a member of Main Street Moravian Church where she volunteered and helped establish the DJJD Sunday food stand. She was a huge Elvis fan, enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia, collecting angels, and was a Jeff Gordon NASCAR fan. Dolores also enjoyed mother/daughter weekends, going to the cabin up North, music, and the Minnesota Vikings. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Donald; 4 children and their spouses: Linda and Gary Bickel of Northfield, Leonard and Jane of Gult, California, Larry and Christine of Ironton, Lou and Bill Brocht of Northfield; 11 grandchildren: Mary (Charles) Storms, Michael (Tanya) Gordon, Leanna White, Chad (Darcie) White, Shaun White, Joshua (Becca) Gordon, Kristen (Ryan) Niesen, Chase Gordon, Darin White, Randy (Amanda) Gordon, Jesse White; 13 great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Tanner, Jake, Trevor, Hannah, Matthew, Natalie, Nora, Maverick, Tristan, Eagan, Preston and Grayson; her sister, Evelyn and husband Albert Remme of Dennison; her twin brothers and their wives: Lee and Betty Armstrong of Northfield, Leonard (Marie) Armstrong of Owatonna; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son in infancy, her parents, and 4 brothers: baby Ronald, Lyle, Howard and Jerry Armstrong.

Dolores passed away Sunday morning, August 30, 2009, at the Northfield Care Center at the age of 76.

Services will be 11AM Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Main Street Moravian Church in Northfield with Rev. Amy Gohdes-Luhman officiating. Music will be provided by Daniel Fenn. Interment will be in Greenvale Cemetery at Castle Rock.
