Herold Marquardt funeral notice

Herold Marquardt, age 93 of Northfield, passed away Saturday morning, July 4, 2009, at the Northfield Care Center.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 10, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Northfield. Interment will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home in Northfield. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Esther; 2 daughters: Mary Ann and husband Earl Young of Faribault, Helen Marquardt of Denver; his son-in-law, Edgar Olson of Fosston; 9 grandchildren: Janet Brudvig of Roseville, Carol (Glen) Meyer of Byron, Mark (LaVonne) Young of Rochester, Mike (Barb) Young of Faribault, Jim Young of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Lori (Dave) Lyons of Schaller, Iowa, Brent (Katie) Young of Austin, Kris Olson of London, England, Jon (Dee) Olson of Apple Valley; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Everett (Marlene) Marquardt of Florissant, Missouri; his sister-in-law, Anna Marquardt of Norfolk; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Phyllis Olson; his parents; his grandson-in-law, Steve Brudvig; and 4 brothers: Lester, Marvin, Kenneth and Dale.

Memorials are preferred to the Lions Eye Bank, Hospice, Trinity Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
