Patricia LaBeaux

DSC02032a Patricia Ann "Patti" LaBeaux was born January 29, 1936, in Minneapolis, to Wade L. and Ann (Piersak) Norton. She was raised in Northeast Minneapolis, was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith and graduated from Benilde - St. Margaret High School in 1954. Following her education she worked as a telephone operator. She married Charles R. LaBeaux on December 21, 1957, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia Heights. Shortly after marriage they moved to Fridley and Patti stayed at home to raise the Children. In 1976 she began working in Fridley and in 1982 she went to work for the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche in downtown Minneapolis. Charlie passed away on June 15, 2003, and Patti retired in the Spring of 2004.

Patti was an excellent cook and loved collecting and trying new recipes. She loved to bring the family together and when she prepared a meal it was a delight and there was always an abundance of food. She enjoyed watching movies, going to lunch with her lady friends, and she spent many years as a judge for the Miss Fridley Pageant. She was also deeply spiritual and one of her life highlights was her 2006 pilgrimage to Medjagorie with her son David and son-in-law Scott. Her greatest enjoyment came from her family. She deeply loved all of her children and grandchildren and took great interest in their lives. She was kind, caring, generous, thoughtful, had a good sense of humor, and a strong Christian Faith. Her positive attitude, her willingness to sacrifice to make others happy, and her ability to always see the good in people was nothing less than inspirational. Her motherly wisdom, kind advice, and her beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
