To the family of Pastor

To the family of Pastor John,

My deepest sympathy to Eyvonne and Pastor John's family. He gave me many laughs with his corny jokes (my jokes were just as bad). I enjoyed fishing with John and Ron - what great memories - our gourmet lunch buffet served under a blue tarp to protect from the sun, was tastey. I have missed his visits, since the move to Arizona. I have thought of him often. May God's love help you through this difficult time. Peace and strength be with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

I was so saddened to hear of John passing away. I have many memories of Past Langhough and his family as I grew up. You all were such an inspiration to me as a child. I remember all the Senior League events that we had at Calvary. I especailly remember the trip we took to Texas. Steve you were brave taking all those teenagers so far! I was born shortly before you arrived in Lemmon, so I was not one of the ones that you baptised and confirmed, but was close. Pastor John was a great confirmation teacher. I learned so much from him not only about the bible, but about life. He was a great teacher, an awesome pastor and great spiritual leader. Eyvonne and family, please accept my sympathy. Rejoice for John because this is what he worked his entire life for. He surely is having the time of his life now!

Condolences

Dear Eyvonne and family. My deepest sympathies are with you during this time. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Pastor John's passing. It was only a few weeks ago that I received a letter from him. I have dearly enjoyed corresponding with him over the many years since he left Malta. I remember so much of the lessons of Confirmation with him and even as an adult his gentle teaching and wisdom have guided me.

I will always remember Pastor John and the wonderful knowledge he instilled in me. My kids often hear stories of him and our time together while he was Pastor in our church ~ and lately as we exchanged letters.

I wish that I could be with you; know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you and keep you during this time. Always.

Red Cross Volunteer

My condolences go out to Eyvonne and John's family. I had the pleasure of working with John while he volunteered at Luke AFB. He always was smiling and had kind words for everyone. I appreciated his volunteer time more than words can say!

Your Dad Andy

This is a sad day to have your father die. I will share that with you.

I was interested to learn that he was a St. Olaf chemistry major who then went into the seminary. I had some students who did the same thing, the last of which was Mark Pearson. It is an excellent transition.

My sympathy to all of your family.

John

remembrance

John was an excellent friend and neighbor here in Sun City and we will miss him greatly. He was always extremely receptive when meeting people, his actions always showed he valued all people as equals. We will always remember him and miss him. Delton & Vi Torno
