A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening

Growing up in rural Minnesota in the '70s, entertainment options were few and far between. But I loved Sunday evenings. My family would gather around the TV, someone would hand me a bowl of chocolate stars and, since we only got two TV channels, we'd watch whatever variety show happened to be on: Sonny and Cher, Donny and Marie, Lawrence Welk. Chorale, the high school ensemble of the Northfield Youth Choirs (NYC), is hosting their annual concert, "A Winter's Eve," on Sunday, March 16th at 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Northfield. This concert not only has a great variety of solo and group acts from Broadway to spirituals, you also get to eat delicious desserts at the same time! A freewill offering will be collected and all money raised will support the group's spring tour to Chicago.
