Exhibition Opening Reception Saturday

ArtOnWater Gallery is pleased to present a special juried exhibition 'Art Touring 2008 - a showcase of regional artist, studios, and galleries'. Opening this weekend*, the art exhibit includes original works from 9 regional artists:

Theresa Harsma (Owatonna), Becky Jokela (Sogn), Jean Lejcher (Pine Island), Marie Marvin and Wendy Westlake (Zumbrota), Kate Pearce (originally from Pine Island, now St. Paul), Colleen Riley (Northfield), Dan Wiemer (Red Wing), and Jennifer Wolcott (Waterford).

These artists were selected by ArtOnWater Gallery from all participants in the studios, art galleries, and other venues featured in the 2007 art tour events 'Zumbro River Art Splash', 'Red Wing Studio Ramble', and 'South Central Minnesota Studio arTour'.

These annual artist/studio tour events are well patronized and provide unique venues for artists to present their works. ArtOnWater Gallery opened in December and provides an exciting commercial fine art venue. The gallery is committed to visual arts promotion and marketing of works of fine art in a short-term (monthly) exhibition-based, retail gallery space located downtown on the river in Northfield.
