We're not afraid of color here!

studio Have you ever looked at a piece of art and wondered how it was made, how the artist got his or her ideas, or what it's supposed to be? Now you can ask some of those questions by visiting Right Brain Ventures Studio and Shop. This studio is run by me, Barb Matz, and it's my hope that people will feel free to stop in and ask questions!

window art A couple years ago I had an exhibit of hand painted mannequins at Art on Water. Some of the mannequins are on display along with other work. Most of the work is painted in bold color and pattern inspired by the Oaxacan Indians of Mexico. It's my hope that people will feel comfortable visiting a working studio and shop.

Right Brain Ventures Art is located at 305 S. Water St., Northfield, next to Froggy Bottoms. You can drop in, contact me at 707-267-8004, or visit my website: http://webpages.charter.net/rbventures.

Right Brain Ventures

Nice blog, Barb! I know Barb personally and I recommend that you stop by Right Brain Ventures. Barb is very patient and nice and no question is too "stupid" to ask about art. She's really good at explaining!

More Arts Town!

Congratulations, Barb. And welcome back to the westside of arts town. I still remember all those nose prints on my gallery windows during your 'Women In Their 40's Exhibition'.

With your new studio plus my gallery re-opening in December, the Downtown ArtsRing is back: Bridge Square - to our spaces - across the footbridge - to the North Division St. venues and back to Bridge Square!
