Northfield.org introduces "Office Hours"
Editor's note: This story was posted earlier, so this is just a reminder to join us for coffee at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
No, we didn't hit the lottery and buy a swanky new office building. But building an online community doesn't just happen online.
That's why I'm busting out of my home office and heading downtown. We're calling this experiment "Office Hours," and I'll be setting up shop somewhere each week. This Tuesday morning, from 7:30-9 a.m. I'll be at Goodbye Blue Monday coffee shop on Division Street.
We can talk about anything, but one issue seems to be a hot one. We've been having lots of discussion here and on other sites about building business downtown. Maybe it's time to see what we can do to start moving in that direction. I'll be there to talk about ideas I've seen in other communities, ways you can share information on Northfield.org (totally free), and whether there are experts we can bring in to help us move from discussing things forever to getting things done.
Come and find me. Be the first one who introduces himself/herself to me, and I'll buy your coffee. If you have an idea for a particular place and time for next week, let me know. I'll post a notice next weekend.
And if you have a particular question or issue, e-mail me or call me at 612-227-0071 and I'll try to have the answer with me on Tuesday.
