Obituary: Helen M. Cowles
Helen MacPherson Cowles 1918 - 2006. Helen died on November 17. Services will be held December 2.
Helen taught us many lessons in life, most notably the importance of family, love, humor, enthusiasm, zest for life, and services to others are a continuous blessing to us all. Our loss brings tears, but more importantly, our memories make us smile. We are comforted knowing she is finally re-united with her best friend and soul mate, her loving husband Bill.
Survivors include her children: Bill and wife Laurie of Northfield, Lindsay of Roseville, Tim and wife Carol of Northfield; 6 grandchildren: Kelly and husband Dave Newsom, Doug Cowles, Andy Munyon and wife Steph, Molly and husband Terry Hollingsworth, Katy and husband Charlie Fiala, Suzy Cowles; 4 great-grandchildren: Jack, Ana, Claire & Sadie; 2 sisters: Christine Hager of Northfield, Peg Pendry of Winnetka, Illinois; many nieces, nephews and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her brother, Jack MacPherson; and her sister, Jean Banks.
Helen passed away Friday evening, November 17, 2006 at the Northfield Care Center at the age of 88.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 2, 2006, at the Northfield Retirement Center Chapel with Rev. Diane Goulson officiating. Refreshments will follow. Music will be provided by Lois Burgoyne. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield.
Memorials are preferred to the Northfield Retirement Center Chapel Endowment Fund or Northfield Community Action Center
