Web sites for the mayoral candidates

Betsey Buckheit has posted an introduction on her new weblog.
"Finally, for all those folks who said "Why!!??" it's important to run because so many people, especially people my age and younger (I'm 43), believe involvement in local government is painful, time-consuming and frustrating. Yes, it does take time, but it needn't be unpleasant. As a Planning Commission member, I've faced big challenges with great rewards in terms of meeting people, learning more about Northfield, and participating in making Northfield a stronger community. I'll try to use the Mayor's office to encourage participation and improve citizen's perception of city administration."

Lee Lansing's web site is up.
"There are a lot of people wanting a new "perspective" on City Govermnent. Actually, I hear concerns nearly everyday about one City issue or another. People seem to feel frustrated and rather powerless in managing issues within the City. I am afraid many have already given up. I know that the fall elections can change that."

Both are running for Northfield city mayor, along with Galen Malecha and Phil Anderson. The primary is Sept. 14.
