Lynne Young, Library Director, Retirement Parties (plural!)

Lynne Young's parties poster

Lynne Young has been the Northfield Public Library Director for 28 years, which is cause for celebration.  She plans to retire this spring, which mandates that the celebrations begin!

The Northfield Library Board and the Friends of the Northfield Public Library are planning a series of parties to honor and celebrate Lynne's many years of service.  The public is invited to any and all:

- Tuesday, Jan. 29, 7 PM at the library: Lynne's favorite Minnesota mystery writer William Kent Krueger will speak about public libraries, their mission and their mystery, and so much more.  Light refreshments will be served.

- Saturday, Feb. 23, 7 PM at the library: Lynne initiated the Carnegie Concert series in 2010, the library's centennial year.  This evening the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet will continue the concert series with an entertaining evening of music.  Coffee and cupcakes will be served.

- Friday, Mar. 8 at 5:30-7 PM at the Ice Arena: Lynne has also directed the City's Community Services for two years and this free skating party with free pizza and cake will celebrate her service; a special program with a surprise will begin at 6:30 PM.

Join us and thank Lynne for all her years of service to the community!
