Get ready. Get set. Get going to register for winter session classes that start this month at the Northfield Area Family YMCA.

Preschool programs begin the week of Jan. 7, while most youth sports programs kick off the week of Jan. 14.

Programs take place at the Northfield National Guard Armory, 519 Division St.

Among the classes offered during the January winter session are new courses "Wonderful Winter," "Biddy Sports" and "Songs, Finger Plays and Gym Time."

Class offerings and details are available in the winter session brochure, which is available at the Y’s website—www.northfieldymca.org—and at the usual places in Northfield:
• The Y’s office, on Highway 3, just south of the Quarterback Club.
• The armory.
• The Y’s Health and Wellness Fitness Center, 900 Cannon Valley Drive, on the campus of the Northfield Retirement Center.

Also included on the YMCA’s website and in the brochure are details about the Y’s annual Daddy-Daughter Dance, Feb. 16; Family Fun Night at the Y, Jan. 25; and the popular Kids Night at the Y program.

To register for any of the course offerings, complete a brochure registration form; visit www.northfieldymca.org and click the “Registration” button; stop by the Y’s office; or call the Y at 507-645-0088.

The Northfield YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate in its programs, meaning no one is turned away because of inability to pay.
