British singer/songwriter Katy Vernon to Perform at Northfield's Tavern Lounge

British singer/songwriter Katy Vernon will appear Thursday, July 5 from 8:30 to 11 p.m. at the Tavern Lounge, located in the historic Archer House River Inn in downtown Northfield. A Minnesota Music Award nominee and popular on the Twin Cities performance circuit, Vernon's appearance is in support of her debut CD entitled "Before I Forget."

A native of London, England, Vernon says she's been writing and singing as long as she can remember. She moved to the United States after meeting her American (and Twin Cities-based) husband on a train from Amsterdam to Berlin. A popular and in-demand performer on the Twin Cities music circuit, Vernon fronted the band "The Camdens" for years before embarking on her solo career. Her much anticipated debut solo release, entitled "Before I Forget," will be released later this year.Nominated for a Minnesota Music Award, critics say about Vernon:
