Welcome Home today for the Northfield National Guard
The arrival of the 434th Chemical Company (Northfield, Redwing and Roseville) is scheduled for November 29th. The best guess for time is around 3:00p.m. Listend to KYMN or check here for updates.

The buses will drive through the community, coming into town on Hwy 19 from I-35. They are planning on heading south on Hwy 3 to Jefferson Parkway, and then north on Division, through downtown, heading ouit of town on Hwy 19 towards Cannon Falls and Red Wing. The buses will not stop here or drop the men and women off here. They'll continue on to Red Wing for debriefing.
On November 29th businesses are asked to display a yellow ribbon or fly the flag. The City of Northfield may also have the flags up on the street lights.
The VFW is planning to distribute a number of "hero hankies" to local businesses. These hankies would be available for purchase and a portion of the funds will go toward a holiday party in February for the troops, their families and invited guests.
On December 1st at the Red Wing Armory, the official homecoming ceremony will be held.everyone is invited to attend. More details to come.
