PRESS RELEASE -- Online organization to hold real-world annual meeting

NCO PRESS RELEASE
Northfield Citizens Online will hold its annual
meeting at the Northfield Public Library at 7 p.m. on
Oct. 26. The organization invites the public to attend
and participate in its discussion and board election.

According to its mission, NCO works to provide an electronic commons for the Northfield community.

"The electronic world can be used to improve our real-world community," says Alex Beeby, NCO board vice-chair, "we do this by creating revolutionary ways for the community to interact."

Volunteers fill all roles in the non-profit organization. They promote web-terminals and wireless internet in the area and operate an issues
discussion list on email and the community based website -- northfield.org.

"At our annual meeting," Beeby says, "we are going to talk about the board's plan to build on the strength of our website and issues list to propel the organization into a new phase of growth."
