Doug McAdam, Stanford University Professor of Sociology

Former director, Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. 

Author of numerous books and articles in political sociology, with emphasis on social movements and revolutions, including:

Political Process and the Development of Black Insurgency, 1930-1970

Freedom Summer (C. Wright Mills Award)

·       

The Dynamics of Contention (co-author)
