Richard Heinberg in Northfield "Mom, Dad We Need To Talk: Preparing Together for a Changing World."
Transition Northfield and Blandin Foundations' Leadership Team is pleased to sponsor an evening with Richard Heinberg, Friday November 12th, 6:30pm at the Northfield Ballroom. Richard will be speaking about how our community can plan together for a changing world in view of the economy, the need for energy independence and climate change.
This event is free of charge, with donations accepted at the door. ASL Interpreters will be provided.
Richard is the award winning author of eight books including: The Party's Over: Oil War and the Fate of Industrial Societies; Powerdown: Options and Actions for a Post-Carbon World; and Peak Everything: Waking up to the Century of Declines. He is widely regarded as one of the world's foremost Peak Oil educators and writes a monthly column for The Ecologist Magazine. He has been featured in many film documentaries, including Leonardo Di-Caprio's 11th hour. Since 2002, he has given over 300 lectures on oil depletion to a wide variety of audiences around the world.
Richard serves as an advisor to Transition US and is a fellow at Post Carbon Institute.
