RE: NORTHFIELD JOB CLUB MEETING – FEBRUARY 22, 2012

The Northfield Public Library will host the bi-weekly meeting of the Northfield Job Club in the library meeting room on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 1:30 – 2:30 PM

Presented by Minnesota Workforce Center, Faribault Office, the topic of this workshop will be “It’s Leap Year: What Hurdles Do You Need to Overcome to Get That Job?” Job search skills are the foundation of an effective job search and this meeting will be valuable for all job seekers.

Job club meetings include both informative presentations and lively discussion.  Why join a job club?  People who are members of job clubs show higher rates of success at finding employment.  Members share networking information, goal setting, and receive encouragement from other job seekers, and hold each other accountable for job search efforts through group goal setting and time management practices.  Minimize feelings of isolation or depression that can be experienced while looking for work.  Join the Northfield Job Club!  We look forward to seeing you there!

Job club meetings are free and open to the public and advance registration is not required.
