Meeting for Community Event Planners

If you or your organization are planning, or thinking of planning a community event in Northfield this summer please plan on attending this meeting!  Meeting notices are being sent out to all organizations that have held events in the recent past but our list may not be inclusive so please help us spread the word.  A representative of your organization who will be involved with planning your event should plan to attend. 

We will walk through the new permiting proceedures, new applications, and what City services may be involved in ensuring that your event is safe and successful.  Since use of City services may include a cost, we are also introducing a Community Events Grant program that organizations can apply to for in-kind funding of services.  These might include things such as use of barricades, traffic cones, the Showmobile or Police security, to name a few.  Funds are limited and applications are due May 15th so we strongly encourage you to plan ahead and come to this meeting!  We will also be able to answer your questions regarding insurance needs and permit costs.
