Farm Tour and Potluck
The SEEDS farm, a two acre farm just outside Northfield, is excited to offer a farm tour and potluck this Wednesday, August 4th. Unlike many farms, our farm, run by three students as part of a summer internship project through St. Olaf, has a broader vision than just growing and selling food. We are striving to incorporate community building in our entrepreneurial endeavor. Our four main goals are to (1) produce healthy, organic, and affordable produce, (2) build intergenerational and diverse community connections, (3) practice good environmental stewardship while connecting people's needs to the environment, and (4) learn about the challenges of entrepreneurship and provide space for self-discovery along the way. We have a blog, http://seeds2010.wordpress.com/, if you would like to see more.
The tour is free and will start at 5:30 with the potluck around 6:00. Bring your friends and family, a blanket, utensils and plate, and a dish to share! See directions and contact information by following the link: http://seeds2010.wordpress.com/august-4th-open-house-community-pot-luck/
