Community Services Fall Classes Begin

The fall Northfield Public Schools Community Services Division brochure is out and registration is open for exciting new classes and old favorites.

Students grades K-5 can dribble, pass and kick their way through “Future Raider Soccer Camp” which will be held 5-6:15 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, Sept. 8 through Oct 1. Camp is at the Spring Creek Soccer Fields.

There are many classes for adults including new cooking classes in collaboration with Just Food Co-op and the Eat Local Challenge. “Eating Local: Summer Soups” will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 at the Northfield High School. Pre-registration is required.

Those looking for something fun and educational to do with a preschooler can check out Early Childhood Family Education’s fall schedule which is full of classes for ages birth to kindergarten entrance. For those who work during the day there are evening options like “All Ages, All Stages,” from 6:15-7:30 p.m. Mondays, beginning Sept. 13.

Northfield Public Schools Community Services includes recreation and enrichment programming, Early Childhood Family Education, driver education, KidVentures, EarlyVentures Learning Center, Connected Kids, Middle School Youth Center, Hand-in-Hand Preschool, Adult Basic Education and Project ABLE.
