1862 Through Rice County's Eyes Exhibit Opens as the Northfield Historical Society

This month marks the 150th anniversary for the U. S. Dakota War. On August 22nd the Northfield Historical Society(NHS) will open a new exhibit, 1862 Through Rice County’s Eyes.  Most Minnesotans know the overall story of the war, but the exhibit will highlight how certain residents of Rice County played important roles in this episode of our state’s history. The exhibit opens on August 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the Northfield Historical Society.  We are located at 408 Division Street.
