AN OPEN GYM Favorite!!! We fill the Armory gym with mats, ball and a variety of play equipment, so children can climb, bounce, and crawl around the entire gym. This is an open gym program for parents/guardians and kids up to the age of 6.

Mondays and Wednesdays, January 6-March 19, March 31-April 23 (NO Wiggles and Giggles during Spring Break)

10:00-11:30am

Members: Free

Community Members: $5 per child per visit

 

Exercise the sillies out of your kids with open gym fun! Basketballs, scooters and much more. Supervised program for elementary school age kids. Free time and great exercise! Parents join your children for some afternoon fun.

Who loves winter? We do! So do polar bears, penguins, and snow monkeys. This class will begin with a story and a hands-on project related to winter and all things cold and shivery with stories and hands-on activities.

Sister Simone Campbell will present Carleton College’s first convocation of 2014 on Friday, January 10 from 10:50 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in the Skinner Memorial Chapel. Sister Campbell is a passionate advocate for working together to close the gap between rich and poor and to dismantle policies rooted in racism, greed and violence. Her presentation is free and open to the public. Convocations are also streamed live and can be viewed online at go.carleton.edu/convo/.

Sister Campbell is a religious leader, attorney, and poet with extensive experience in public policy and advocacy for systemic change. She currently serves as an executive director of NETWORK, a national social justice lobbying organization, which has for 40 years sought to educate, organize and lobby for economic and social transformation as part of a global movement for peace and justice.
