Exhibition Dates:  Wednesday, May 30 – June 16, 2012


     Twenty-two Honors Art students from Northfield High School exhibit their art at the Guild.  Students participating include Sonia Berdahl, Brittany Carciofini, Jean Colangelo, Meaghan Howell, Emma Jasnoch, Katie McMullen, Maggie Miland, Moriah O’Malley, Madison VanWylen, Sam Womeldorf, Maren Zach, Sam Fox, Zoe Goodwin, Calina Hall, Nate Killam, Rachel Lepinski, Dana O’Donnell, Ingrid Pfefferle, Molly Polzin, Rachel Wadleigh, Evan Weselmann, and Heather Wolf. 

     The opening reception will take place on Friday, June 1 from 7-9pm, with an 8pm performance by Catty Wampus, the high school’s female choral group.

      The Northfield Arts Guild Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10am – 5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 3pm.

Arts Guild Member Randy Mitchell exhibits his wood carvings.  A Northfield native, Randy recalls childhood winters filled with sledding days and quiet snowscapes.  “My show is to bring back the good old times of a warm heart and the view of a fresh start that comes from a winter scene in one’s own mind.”

This gallery is located near the lab waiting area at Allina Medical Clinic of Northfield at 1440 Jefferson Road.  Regular Clinic Hours are 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 7 pm Fridays, and 9 am to 3 pm Saturdays.

Toddler Rhyme time is to encourage development of language and motor skills by integratingmovement, songs, books and rhymes for kids ages 2-3 with parent or caregiver.

Drop-in Dream BIG activity times for kids going into K thru 5th grade:

Wed. 1-3 pm This week- Dream Big BUILD! Come create with legos, Lincoln Logs, marshmallows, spaghetti, tooth picks and more.

Drop in anytime during the 2 hour sessions we will have a different “Dream Big” themed project every week.

“Rewards for reading” pick up times are:

Monday 6-8 pm

Tuesday 10 am-3 pm

Wednesday 10 am– 3 pm

Thursday 10 am– 1 pm

Reading Reward Pizza & Reader of the Week drawing will be Thursdays 11:45.

Books & Stars is free, fun, family friendly entertainment on Wednesday evenings at local parks in Northfield. Bring something to sit on and get ready for fun.

Booker,  the Book Bus,opens at 6:30 pm. Booker has library books & movies for all ages. You may also return library items to Booker!

Shows begin at 7 pm.
