YMCA After School Open Gym (grades K-5th) Exercise the sillies out of your kids with Open Gym fun – basketballs, scooters and much more. Supervised program for elementary school age kids. Program brochures available on our website. An exhibition of oil landscape paintings by Joannie Johnson. These works were inspired by Johnson’s recent kayaking trip to the area. This gallery is located near the lab waiting area at Allina Medical Clinic of Northfield at 1440 Jefferson Road. Regular Clinic Hours are 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 7 pm Fridays, and 9 am to 3 pm Saturdays. YMCA Frisbee Golf (grades 2-5th) Frisbee or Disc Golf is a game in which players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. The object of the game is to complete the course with the fewest number of throws. No experience necessary. We’ll provide the instruction and equipment and enjoy spring! Carleton College’s Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combos will present their final concert of the year at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30 in the Carleton College Concert Hall. This event is free and open to the public.
The Jazz Ensemble, directed by David Singley, presents music both old and new, with selections from the Big Band repertoire of the Swing era, as well as compositions by modern jazz composers. The Carleton Jazz Combos will also perform as part of the concert.
